Talkatora Garden

Talkatora Garden is a free garden break near the President’s Estate, with terraced greenery and seasonal planting beside the separate indoor stadium. Families can use it for a short walk and a change of pace between indoor visits. The garden’s name is a useful clue to its landscape: a tank and a bowl-shaped setting, rather than an admission ticket to the sports complex.

Jama Masjid (Old Delhi)

Jama Masjid combines a monumental red-sandstone approach, a broad courtyard and a working place of Muslim worship. A family visit can focus on symmetry, the contrast between stone colours and the way a prayer space is organised. Enter as respectful visitors, leave room for worshippers and treat nearby food lanes as a separate outing.

Fun Orbbit — Gujranwala Town / Model Town

Fun Orbbit combines toddler play, a trampoline, a rocket merry-go-round and an arcade in Gujranwala Town near Model Town. The workbook’s Civil Lines label is misleading: use the operator’s Gujranwala Town address. A soft-play session and a counted arcade package are different purchases, so this works best when parents decide whether the visit is for movement, games or both.

Akshardham

Swaminarayan Akshardham - New Delhi

Akshardham can be a free temple-and-garden visit, a substantial exhibition outing or an evening water-show trip. Those are different family plans. Children can study elephant carvings, follow a young traveller’s journey on a giant screen, pass through cultural scenes on a boat and watch a story unfold through water and light. Choose the parts that suit their stamina and comfort with sound, darkness and queues.

Punjabi Bagh

Tingaland - Punjabi Bagh Club

Tingaland Punjabi Bagh is the indoor play offering at Punjabi Bagh Club, with distinct toddler and activity zones rather than the outdoor Xtreme adventure course. The branch advertises ball play, sensory and role-play features for younger children, plus slides, nets and climbing routes for older ones. Its current homepage and product pages disagree on some age bands and closing times, so confirm the child’s eligibility and selected session before travelling.

Lotus Temple

The Lotus Temple is the Bahá’í House of Worship, welcoming people of every faith to a distinctive marble-petalled building and a quiet prayer hall. For families, the visit combines looking at architecture with practising a short period of respectful silence. The operator currently publishes Tuesday–Sunday 8:30am–5pm, which takes precedence over longer hours on tourism and map listings.

Raj Ghat Gandhi Memorial

Raj Ghat is the memorial at Gandhi’s cremation site, centred on a simple dark stone platform, an eternal flame and a quiet landscaped setting. It is a short visit of remembrance rather than a museum tour. Children can notice how space, silence and a few carefully chosen elements communicate respect, then explore Gandhi’s life in greater detail at the separate museum nearby.
