97 places across 23 Mumbai neighbourhoods so far, researched from official sources. Each place shows whether our team has checked it yet.
Facts and advice have different jobs
Our Mumbai guides draw on operator websites, public authorities and identified supplementary sources. Every venue has its own source list. Age suitability, pacing, packing and route combinations are editorial recommendations; they are not admission rules or safety certifications.
How a guide is researched
We start with the venue or responsible public authority for admission rules, operating notices and contact details. Dated reporting can clarify changes when official pages conflict. Visitor accounts may provide a labelled price indication, but they do not become an official tariff. Each place links its evidence so readers can inspect the source.
Why a place makes a neighbourhood shortlist
We look for a distinct family experience, a verifiable location and a practical reason to choose it over another stop. Operator information is considered alongside identified visitor reports and local reporting. A positive review alone is not enough: age fit, maintenance concerns, booking restrictions and the journey also matter. We explain the selection beside each recommendation rather than inventing a ranking or star score.
Nearby alternatives are labelled with their actual area. A quiet garden, a bookable workshop and a paid play centre solve different needs; they are not interchangeable. Proposed openings, conflicting branches and weakly documented facilities are excluded or explicitly qualified. External review summaries are not first-hand Peekago visits.
How to read a price
Admission, optional activities, equipment, transport and food are kept separate. Published operator rates, dated reported prices and editorial arithmetic are labelled differently. A family-budget calculation is not a package offer. Where a current price cannot be established, we explain what to confirm rather than inventing a charge.
What a review date means
A date records when the page was researched. It does not mean a phone call was made, every facility was inspected or a live booking was completed. Historic photographs retain their credits and may show earlier conditions. Temporary closures and unresolved operating status remain visible even when that makes a place less convenient to recommend.
We have not claimed to visit
This edition is desk-researched. We do not invent parent reviews, ratings, staff inspections or accessibility checks. An unknown amenity remains unknown. Conflicting fees and hours are surfaced rather than silently resolved.
Information changes
Each place page shows its research date. It describes an editorial review, not live availability. Check the official operator before booking or travelling. A refresh policy is not an automated monitoring service.
Privacy by default
Saved places and plans stay in your browser. Shared links encode only chosen place IDs and generic breaks. No children’s names, birthdays or health information are requested. If you sign up for the weekend plan, we store your WhatsApp number or email and, optionally, your children’s age bands, never their names; you can stop at any time. Google Maps embeds and external images contact their respective providers. You can browse the guide without location permission or an account.
Editorial independence
No paid rankings, affiliate arrangements or commissioned parent reviews are included in this edition. Photo licences and original authors are credited separately.
Corrections
Every place page has a “Help improve this page” form, and there is a report page for anything else. Reports go to the Peekago editors’ review queue, not straight onto the site: we check each one against a source before a guide changes.

Report a correction, or use the form at the bottom of any place page. Venues and organisers can list a venue or submit an event. See also coverage & verification, photo credits and our editorial policy.
