Andheri East offers a focused heritage stop at Mahakali/Kondivite Caves amid a
busy suburban neighbourhood. Choose it for a compact look at rock-cut Buddhist
spaces rather than expecting a landscaped all-day attraction. It is distinct
from the beach and garden outings west of the railway.

GETTING AROUND
Navigate to the Mahakali Caves entrance, then compare local rail, metro and
road approaches using live routes. Allow a last-mile buffer; a general Andheri
East pin is too broad, and Mumbai Central is not a sensible default local
approach.

IF IT RAINS
The cave interiors do not make the complete route weatherproof. Wet stone and
exposed approaches can limit the visit; defer in heavy rain or when access is
restricted.
